Scott and Jacki Harris and Family!: Korea #2

Pacific Wide Softball Tournament! Need I say more?! Upon my arrival to Korea...we came back to Scott's apartment (see post below) so he could catch a few zzzz's, you see...he had played in a 1:00am softball game...then came to the airport at 5:00am to pick me up...and had a 1:00pm and 8:00pm game later in the night. This tournament runs Friday thru Monday over Memorial Day weekend every year. This is Scott's first year and most certainly won't be his last-even if though he won't be stationed here. There were over 30 teams in the tournament, most of them formed with guys who are stationed somewhere over here in the Pacific. Some teams fly in players who are now stationed back in the states or otherwise to play thanks to their amazing sponsors! Drash! We saw players we've known for years and years whom Scott has played WITH and AGAINST! We were also blessed to meet a TON of new players who we can even call friends! Team Scrapalators!

If you take a close look at this photo...you will notice that the guys are lined up in the shape of the pink ribbon for breast cancer. The man in the middle in the back (just behind the little girl) is "Mase". His wife Val just found out that she has breast cancer. Saturday she found out that it is in both breasts and that she will be undergoing a double mastectomy as well as chemo and radiation. She has been taken to Tinker in Hawaii and is just out of surgery at this very moment. We are all awaiting news on how things went. The team did all sorts of fund raising and awareness over the weekend. It was so neat to see all of these guys gather around this family in support of Val. I have yet to meet this woman but she can be nothning short of amazing from everything I hear! Our thoughts and prayers are with you Val!
