So Blakes adventure started out in Jacksonville flying from there to Philly, to Phx to meet us. Here's a pic from the Phx airport before we headed out to LA! I look at this and see the kids when Haley was an infant, the boys were 2, and Brooke and Charli were 4 and 5...oh my goodness how things have changed!
I'm really glad Charli was able to hang out with us for a little while before we left for LA. This is the first picture I've been able to get of all 5 kids in many, many years!

Our flight from LA to Seoul was delayed for 2 hours...we finally boarded at 12:20am!
After 13.5 hours on Korean Airlines...we got to stretch our legs just long enough to make it to Scott's truck...then we headed for Scott's apartment in Itaewon. Traffic was fun!
We unloaded luggage, got freshened up a little bit and headed for Camp Red Cloud in Uijeongbu...
Where we went to the museum.
This museum is specifically about the 2nd Infantry Division, constituted in 1917 with amazing history, artifacts, and photos dating back to WWI, WWII, and the Korean War. The 2nd Infantry Division is the major U.S. ground combat in Korea. Their primary mission is to deter mwar on the Korean peninsula; if required, the Division will "fight tonight and win". They stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Republic of Korea units immediately south of the DMZ (demilitarized zone). The division continues to serve today.
We ran into the bowling alley at Camp Red Cloud...for some pizza and some ???? (I have no idea what the name of the stuff is--will have to ask Scott and come back to fill in the ????s)...but it was really really really good!
We must have been on a bowling alley kick because we came back to Itaewon, got changed, and walked over to Yongsan Army Garrison where Scott works and headed for the bowling alley there. The kids bowled a few games, we all ate some chicken onju (not sure about the spelling on that one)...we're trying to introduce as much of the Korean culture to the kids as possible...even if it IS at the bowling alley! haha! Joey-one of Scott's friends met us there and ate with us. We had a blast!!
